KKA announces the acquisition of nicos AG by the Xantaro Group
Berlin, October 2024. KKA is pleased to announce that the Xantaro Group, a KKA portfolio company, has acquired the nicos Group. This acquisition represents a significant milestone in strengthening the Enterprise customer division and expanding the Xantaro Group’s managed services portfolio.
With approximately 200 employees, nicos operates over 4,300 network solutions across 2,200 locations worldwide and serves renowned customers such as Dr. Oetker, ebm-papst, and KfW. The integration brings new partnerships with Cisco Systems alongside existing collaborations with Fortinet and Cato Networks, perfectly complementing Xantaro’s service offerings.
Gerold Arheilger, CEO of the Xantaro Group, stated:
“The acquisition of nicos marks a strategic milestone. Together, we will advance innovative solutions in network and security automation, private wireless technologies, and AI-based managed services.”
The nicos companies will continue to operate independently under their current brand names with the addition of “Member of the Xantaro Group.” This transaction underscores Xantaro’s expansion strategy, which also saw the acquisition of IT security specialist NetDescribe GmbH in August 2024.
Through this integration, KKA reinforces its commitment to driving innovation and growth in high-performance networks and IT security solutions.
